During this workshop the students will approach the following techniques:
The shooting sessions are followed by screening of the scenes. In the end of this workshop all students receive a DVD of best - of of their work.
COURSE OBJECTIVES To make clear to the actor the simplicity of film acting To seize the point of the scene and act what the action calls for, beat by beat, simply and specifically To identify what your character wants and why he or she wants it badly To locate obstacles in the way of a character getting what he wants within a script’s given circumstances To confront what happens if he does or does not get it; the actor need not be emotional or go for “The Big Emotion” To articulate the character needs with tactical finesse and subtlety through psychological tools To handle film dialogue: as in life we play games to win, people in a film speak to get what they want
